「The Shire」とも言われているサザーランドシャイア。1770年にキャプテン・クックがオーストラリア大陸に調査に来た時に上陸したボタニーベイを含む地域で、サザーランドという名前はその時にエンデバー号に乗っていた水夫 Forby Sutherland に由来します。
